Underlay matters more than people think
A quality underlay extends the life of the carpet, improves insulation, and changes how a room feels underfoot. We fit Tredaire and Cloud 9 PU foam underlay as standard, with thicker grades available for stairs and high-traffic landings. Cheap thin felt is a false economy — it flattens within a year and the carpet wears out twice as fast.
Stair carpets and runners
Stairs are the trickiest part of any carpet fit. We bind runners on site, mitre the corners properly, and use the right gripper rod and underlay grade so the carpet stays tight at every nosing. Pattern matching across a turn or winder is included in the quote.
